Amazon Prime Video is now a personal movie theater. The Oculus Quest, Oculus Go and Gear VR now support Prime Video VR. The offering includes a full and curated selection of 360-degree videos in addition to Amazon Prime Video's full program.
Ten handpicked 360-degree videos
In addition to the well-known series and films of the prime video library Prime Video VR offers ten handpicked 360-degree videos at the start and will be expanded in the future with other VR-specific content. In addition to Prime Video content, Amazon Prime members also have unrestricted access to all VR content.
The VR content is played either in the midst of a cartoon-like interface or in a special VR cinema mode in which the user has the feeling of sitting in his own personal movie theater.
Hardware and software from Oculus and Samsung
To access Prime Video VR, Prime customers must download the Prime Video VR app from the Oculus Store and sign in with their Prime Video account after installation. Prime Video VR is currently available exclusively for the Oculus Quest, Oculus Go and Gear VR from Samsung.
