With Operation Grand Heist the current Call of Duty goes into the third season; including new maps, weapons and game modes includes the update. For more attention, however, provide prey boxes, which should find their way into the full-price game. On Reddit shows the players split.
New content for all game modes
Developed in October 2018 Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 (Test) will receive in the next few days more content, as developer Treyarch announced: As part of the now third season, which bears the title “Operation Grand Heist” is the first person shooter expanded content for the three mainstays of classic multiplayer, blackout and zombies and the in-game shop black market. Naming the game, however, are new game content in which players act as police officers and robbers must follow – the trailer reminds a little of Battlefield Hardline (test).
For PlayStation 4, Operation Grand Heist is already available; Owners of the PC or Xbox One version must wait until February 26th. Meanwhile, some content is not available for free, but part of the 50 Euro season pass.
Planned Lootboxen already provide criticism
The fact that the game should now also be extended to Lootboxen next to the latter, provides criticism. The bootboxes are only casually announced in the patch notes – Publisher Activision seems to be well aware of the explosiveness of another potential monetization of the full-price game, which is already stocked with season pass and microtransactions.
On Reddit, the players show themselves zwiegespalten. While some voices point out that the boxes contain only cosmetic options and can be obtained by playing just beyond the purchase through the in-game shop, others now complain again to be asked to pay. The critics also recall the previous series Black Ops 3 or Advanced Warfare, in which the Activision initially as purely cosmetically rumored Lootboxen were later enriched with weapons. For further criticism also ensures that the boxes bring the first players already with duplicates.
