Huawei has today released a firmware update to version 22.214.171.124 for the P30 and P30 Pro (test) that adds dual-view mode for video recording. This allows the main camera and telephoto lens to be used in parallel.
As the accompanying example video from Huawei shows, in this mode, slightly more than half of the right-hand area of the video captures the main camera's image, while a smaller area on the left images the telephoto's shots.
The update also just adds a new portrait mode to the P30 Pro, which uses the time-of-flight camera to create the bokeh effect, which obviously has not been the case so far. According to Huawei, it may take a few days for the update to be available to all devices. The update is not yet available on a test device of the editors. This is still running with firmware version 126.96.36.199.
