Huawei is not allowed to use Google Mobile Services (GMD) on the Mate 30 Pro, so launching it into Europe has long been questionable. Now the company launches a trial sale without Google in Europe. This was already apparent in mid-September.
On September 19 this year, Huawei presented the Mate 30, Mate 30 Pro and the limited edition Mate 30 RS in the Porsche Design Edition with Android 10 but without Google Mobile services. A market launch in Europe is still planned, it was then called by the manufacturer.
As the Spanish website of the manufacturer can be seen in Spain, the test sale of the Mate 30 Pro with 128 GB of memory in a limited edition for the price of € 1,100. Buyers will also receive a 300 Euro voucher for the Huawei Shop.
The missing Google apps such as Google Maps and Gmail Huawei meanwhile wants to have completely replaced with its in-house Huawei Mobile services, also an open source variant of Android 10 (AOSP) is used.
Huawei did not provide information as to whether and when the smartphone should also be offered in Germany.
