As Nintendo announced, the mobile Mario Kart offshoot titled Mario Kart Tour will be released on September 25, 2019 for Android and iOS. Originally, Nintendo had already introduced the game in February 2018 and promised to release it by March 2019 at the latest.
However, in order to further improve the game prior to release and further expand its content offering after the launch, Nintendo announced a delay in January this year. Start probably without real multiplayer
From the closed beta, the Nintendo has already performed, is already known that Mario Kart Tour will not allow real multiplayer in real time against other smartphone players. In beta, players could only compete against recorded races of other players. Whether this has changed until the release of the game or an update will provide a multiplayer mode is not yet known. However, Nintendo would like to continue to share news about the game until it becomes available in September.
New videos show international routes
Nintendo has also released two new videos about the game as part of the announcement, which provide further insights into the tracks modeled around venues around the world that are only gradually being made available, or that are familiar, classic Mario kart games Round courses.
Pre-registration for Android and iOS possible
Both Android and iOS users can pre-register for the game in the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store. As with Super Mario Run, a basic version of the game is free, but to continue playing at some point in the game requires in-app purchases.
