With the new Galaxy A71 and Galaxy A51, Samsung is launching two mid-range smartphones that, despite a lower price, should offer a lot of performance and, above all, convincing cameras and a long battery life.
Four cameras and super steady mode
Both the Galaxy A71 and the Galaxy A51 rely on four cameras on the back of the smartphone. With the Galaxy A71, the main camera offers 64 megapixels, with the A51 still 48 megapixels. These are supplemented by an ultra wide-angle camera with 12 megapixels and a 123-degree field of view, a macro camera with 5 megapixels and a lens for the bokeh effect, which also has a resolution of 5 megapixels on both models.
Both the Galaxy A71 and the Galaxy A51 master the Super Steady mode from the Galaxy S series, which should ensure shake-free shots. Videos are automatically stabilized even without an optical image stabilizer.
6.7 and 6.5 inch display with 1,080 × 2,400 pixels
Also common to both is a Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1,080 × 2,400 pixels that fills almost the entire front of the smartphone and has a hole in the top center for the front camera. The display on the Galaxy A71 measures 6.7 inches, on the Galaxy A51, however, 6.5 inches.
The working memory of the Galaxy A71 is 6 GB in Germany, while the Galaxy A51 has 4 GB. International versions with 8 GB and the A51 with 6 GB are also available. In addition, both smartphones are sold in Germany only with 128 GB of internal memory.
Large batteries with quick charge function with up to 25 watts
The battery of the Galaxy A71 with a capacity of 4,500 mAh is also larger than that of the Galaxy A51 with 4,000 mAh. Both offer a quick charge function, which is designed for the Galaxy A51 with 15 watts and for the Galaxy A71 with 25 watts.
Some technical details are still open for announcement, such as the precise radio standards and GPS support that the two new smartphones offer.
