Update: Nokia 3.1 Plus erhält Android 9 Pie

Shortly after the launch of the Nokia 3.2 at this year's MWC in Barcelona, HMD released Android 9 Pie for the Nokia 3.1 Plus. Juho Sarvikas, CPO at HMD Global, has given the starting signal for the update as usual via Twitter.

This shows that HMD is following up on its renewed promise to provide its own smartphones with software updates for at least two years as well as security patches for a total of three years. With Android One, the Nokia 3.1 Plus again receives a genuine Android, which in addition to numerous bug fixes and performance improvements with innovations such as Adaptive Battery and Adaptive Brightness and the new Digital Wellbeing Dashboard with an overview of app and smartphone use, the new Gesture control and the non-annoying mode.

The firmware update also includes the security patches as of February 2019. Because HMD is redistributing the new version, it may take some time for all users to receive notification of the update.
