WhatsApp: Android-App erhält Fingerabdruck-Sperre

WhatsApp now also offers users of the Android app an additional level of security. With the fingerprint sensor, the app can be secured separately from the smartphone. The lock automatically activates immediately after activation, after one minute or after half an hour. Calls can still be answered.

Users can also choose to preview the sender and message in the push notifications when the lock is on.

On iOS, the option has been available since the beginning of the year for Touch ID and Face ID.
