With Instagram's new messaging app Threads, Snapchat still plays the role

Facebook announced that it will focus on privacy while explaining its future plans in recent months, and is working on a new messaging application called Threads. Threads allows users to make instant and intimate shares with friends.

The Threads application, which is expected to accompany Instagram, will automatically share location with friends, while providing information such as speed and battery life. On the other hand, the application, using Instagram's editing tools, text, photo and video messaging features will be included.

Threads, developed for sharing with your “close friends” list on Instagram, are currently being tested only among Facebook employees.

Instagram, which launched Direct in May, said users were not happy to switch between the Instagram main application and Direct. However, the company has not completely lost its interest in messaging applications. While Direct employees took their place in Facebook Messenger, Facebook continued to work on a messaging application that combines Messenger, Instagram and WhatsApp.

By the way, we can say that Threads, who is currently in the testing phase, focuses on close friends and tries to get Snapchat's interaction on the user base. An average Snapchat user spends more time in the app than Instagram users. Facebook, which has so far copied many of Snapchat's features, from Stories to Filters, is now creating a new competitive edge in messaging, the application's stronghold.

Threads, which will automatically and instantly share between users and a list of close friends on Instagram, will regularly update your status shares. It will also allow your friends to access your location and speed in real time.

Threads, which are positioned as a product in the focus of messaging, are similar to Instagram's messaging feature. While messages from your friends appear in the center of the stream, a green dot appears next to your online friends. In the meantime, you can also access the Stories that your friend recently shared via Threads. Threads also feature Camera, allows you to share photos and videos with close friends.
